Research Project Overview and Description:
The project, titled EDVise, is an innovative platform merging digital technology with educational guidance to assist secondary school students in Hong Kong with elective choices and university applications. It addresses student uncertainty, information overload, and a lack of personalized support by combining large language models (LLMs) and big data analytics to offer tailored advice through an AI life coach named “Eddy” and interactive personality quizzes.
Research Outcome:
A user-friendly digital platform featuring an AI coach, interactive preference quizzes, consolidated data insights, and individual coaching services. The team expects to launch a pilot in secondary schools, publish research incorporating the history/philosophy of education and media studies, and commercialize using a freemium model.
