Mission

Hong Kong Shark Foundation (HKSF) is a registered charity dedicated exclusively to shark conservation. We aim to raise awareness about shark conservation, particularly the unsustainable practice of shark finning, and to reduce consumption of shark products in Hong Kong.

For the past 30 years, Ms. Richey has lived in Hong Kong and worked for a wide variety of corporate and NGO entities. Since 2015, she has worked and volunteered for the Hong Kong Shark Foundation in many capacities, most recently as the Executive Director raising awareness about shark conservation and educating people to stop eating shark fin soup and all shark products.

Duration: 20 man-days, 1-2 days a week over June – Dec

Working Hours: Flexible

Job Description: This internship offers the unique opportunity to learn more about shark conservation and help raise awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media Management: Help with social media accounts and website.
  • Help out with multiple events and campaigns.
  • Be involved in raising awareness about shark conservation.
  • Willing to be active and engaging in fund raising events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in website design and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interest in art and design.
  • Proficient in video editing.
  • Interested in sharks and conservation.
