GenAI Hackathon for Social Good

GenAI Hackathon for the SDGs is a 1-month extended hackathon organised by an alliance of Hong Kong public universities. The event is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students from the participating universities, no matter your degree, background, or experience. Students will have the opportunity to network and make friends across universities, attend seminars and workshops, and pitch for the chance to win prizes. Winners will have the opportunity towards start-up incubation and other entrepreneurship pathways.

This year, our themes are centred around three critical sustainability challenges specific to Hong Kong:

  • Good Life for an Ageing Population
  • Sustainable Food and Waste System
  • Inclusive City for All

Winning and promising student teams will gain access to extensive seed funding and incubation opportunities, including with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP) and pathways funded by Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIE).
