Abstract
This presentation highlights the transformative potential of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) in education, particularly for anatomy, physiology, and dissection. Leveraging immersive technologies, this approach provides an innovative gamified learning environment that enhances student engagement and knowledge retention.
The initiative involves the creation of VR gamification-driven active learning, incorporating 3D models and immersive environments to significantly improve understanding of complex biological processes. Additionally, AI-supported assessment technologies will revolutionize feedback and grading, making the learning experience more efficient and interactive. This event will also address cross-departmental collaborations and how sharing VR expertise can enhance education on a broader scale.
The Innovative Pedagogy Student Society (IPSS) from HKUST will be visiting the Arts Tech Lab as part of this event. This visit will provide an excellent opportunity for academic exchange, where participants are encouraged to share their knowledge, insights, and experiences in VR-based learning. We believe that fostering dialogue between students and educators will contribute to mutual growth and enhance collaborative learning across institutions.
Join us as we explore how immersive technology is reshaping science education and facilitating active learning environments for students in the life sciences.
